The planning lab is our custom reference for how a priority week is assembled. It is not software—you can run the steps with paper, a wall calendar, or any tool you already trust.

Sample weekly scan

Notebook and pen ready for listing weekly obligations

  1. Capture — Write every obligation for the next seven days, including soft commitments (“call auntie”, “finish tax folder”).
  2. Constraint line — Mark immovable anchors: work shifts, school runs, medical appointments.
  3. Energy map — Note which days you tend to have deep-focus capacity versus admin-only windows.
  4. Stack draft — Choose no more than three outcomes that would make the week feel successful; everything else is candidate defer material.
  5. Calendar placement — Put each outcome into a specific block; if it does not fit, shrink scope or move an outcome to next week on purpose.

Artifact you keep

You leave with a one-page stack photo or scan plus a short decision log (“moved guitar practice to Sunday because Thursday meetings expanded”). That record is what we review in a follow-up, not a scorecard.

When to bring this to a conversation

If the steps above already help, you may not need us yet. If you stall at stacking or repeatedly break your own calendar, request an inquiry and mention which step jams.
